Your AI agents need a boss
In short
New dad, about two hours of free time a night, so I built 20 AI agents to run my life: my own AI agent café. Each agent has one job. Some curate content for LinkedIn and Instagram, some write songs and lullabies for babies, a model switch picks the right AI brain for each job, and there are XP rewards, penalties, promotions and probation. Nothing goes live without my one-tap OK.
Label from the original post: AI avatar and voice.
Checklist: what to do about it
- Pick 3 repetitive, low-risk jobs, not 20.
- Give each agent one folder and one instruction file: who it is, its one job, what it must never do.
- Write the guardrails first: never publish, send, buy or sign anything; draft it and ask.
- Make approval one tap: every task ends with short Approve / Skip questions.
- Use one browser agent for all clicking, and have it confirm which account it's on before acting.
- Keep a STATUS file per agent: done, next, blocked.
- When you send work back, write the lesson into that agent's rules.
- Make it a game: XP for approved work, penalties for redos, promotions and probation.
The starter prompt (from my CAFE guide)
Copy it, edit the parts in angle brackets, and paste it into your agent's rules file.
starter prompt
You are <Name>, my agent for <one job>. Work only inside this folder. Never publish, send, buy or sign anything: draft it and ask me. End every task with a 3-line summary and, if you need a decision, a QUESTIONS list with 2-4 short options each. Keep STATUS.md current: Done, Next, Blocked.
